Spring is only a week away and I still don't know how to feel about it, seeing as we barely had a winter this year – nothing to complain of course since I have never been a fan of cold weather. Today is a little chilly though, so I threw on a light parka over a thin sweater for a day at the H. Museum of Natural History. Just a little getaway from the monotony of office life for a day of therapeutic sketching and musing. For me, today’s outfit resonates with autumn more than any other season – but so what if I wear it in March?! The best part of this Gap parka is that it comes with a wool-like inner lining that can be detached to your liking, which lends versatility to this timeless piece. To honor my favorite exhibition at the museum (the rock collection!), I am completing this look with a gorgeous Anthropologie silk scarf decorated with brilliant gemstone - its hints of bold, almost florescent orange nicely compliment the simple earth tone of the rest of the outfit. Happy Friday everyone!
